Obituary for
Paul H. Pearre, age 92 of Franklin, TN passed away May 24, 2019. Paul was a man of compassion, friendship, and conviction which showed in everything he did in life whether it was being a farmer, friend or father. He was beloved by so many friends and neighbors. Preceded in death by his wife of 22 years Rose Ann Pearre, Parents Joe and Eunice Pearre. Brothers: Robert (Sara) Pearre, Buford (Elizabeth) Pearre, Milton (Martha) Pearre. Sisters: Edith Pearre and Virginia (Norris) Thornton and Sister-in-law Vinnie Johnson. Nephew, Dusty Thornton. Survived by children, Joe Pearre and Virginia (Paul) Egbert. Grand-daughter Rose Elaine Egbert. Nephew Jimmy (Ava) Thornton and Larry (Pam) Pearre along with many more loved nieces and nephews. Great Niece Emerson Thornton. Sister-in-law Gnell (Philip) Bagwell and Brothers in-law, Wallace Nix and Mike Johnson. Cousins Courtney (Carolyn) Pearre, Adrienne (Bob) Knestrick and Lee (Raj) Patnaik along with their children. Paul was a lifelong Williamson county resident and self-employed farmer. Farming was his life from the beginning, at a young age he operated a team of mules in the field and had his own tobacco patch. His only time off the farm was spent during the post WWII occupation of Germany. When given the opportunity to reenlist he declined the increase in rank and said that he was going back to the farm in Tennessee. For over 50 years he farmed with his brother Milton on over 400 acres. He devoted his life to the farm and his family. At the age of 57 he started a family of his own and married Rose Ann Nix. They were married 22 years when she lost her battle with cancer. He was such a proud Dad and Husband taking both roles very seriously. Every day was a teaching opportunity. He instilled in everyone willing to listen skills that not only pertained to the farm but life as well. He took part in school activities and made an impact on everyone that he met. In 2010, Paul was honored along with the rest of the Pearre family to have Pearre Creek Elementary School named after them. The school is located on a farm that he owned and operated with his brother for over 50 years. Four years ago the family farm that he farmed and grew up on became a century farm. This honor was due in part to his lifelong commitment to the farm his father bought. A funeral service will be held 2:00PM Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Dr. Lynn Hill officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Taylor Jordan, Sam Barker, Paul Egbert, Kenny Taylor, Jay Bean and Ricky Locke. Honorary Pallbearers will be Bill Derryberry, John Egbert, Jesse Short, Donald Burke, Jimmy Jewel, “Hulme Girls”, Larry Dale, Mike Hayes, Walt Cunningham, Wayne Buford, David Buffington, Chad Jewell, Carl Haley, Mary Ruth Martin and Todd Bowman. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the 4-H club of Williamson county, American Cancer Society or a charity of your choice. Visitation will be 4-8PM Tuesday and one hour prior to the service at WILLIAMSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 615-794-2289.
