Beverly Jackson

Beverly Latta Jackson, age 76, resident of Spring Hill, TN, went to be with her Savior and Lord on December 20, 2018, at The Reserve in Spring Hill. Beverly was born at home on Dr. Robinson Road in Spring Hill on August 12, 1942. She was the daughter of the late Simms Howard Latta and Velma Minnie Roth Latta. She attended Spring Hill High School, graduating as valedictorian of her 1960 class. She attended Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, TN. She married her high school sweetheart, Richard Curtis Jackson, on September 11, 1963. Their love was forever and enduring, being married for fifty-five years. She lived in the best of times, life was safe and simple. She enjoyed basketball, knitting, hand crafts, sewing and playing the piano. Her real love in life was serving the Lord. She taught children Bible classes at her church. She lead a ladies Precept Bible Study for about twenty years. Beverly worked for Bell South (AT&T today) for forty-plus years. Her last job was as an Outside Plant Engineer. In addition to her husband, Richard Curtis Jackson, she is survived by her brother, Ralph Latta; niece, Brenda Harris; nephew, Benny (Tammy) Latta; and several great nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM Sunday, December 23, 2018, at Spring Hill Memorial Funeral Home, Rubel Shelly officiating. Visitation will be held 3-5PM on Saturday and one hour prior to service on Sunday. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Precept Ministries International, 7324 Noah Reid Rd, Chattanooga, TN 37421.
