Dr. Robert C. "Bob" Richardson PhD. age 57 of Monterey, TN passed away in Baku, Azerbaijan. Bob was a Spring Hill, TN native. He first learned farming and agriculture first-hand by working for friends and family in Maury County. Bob credited Spring Hill Farmer Bud Underwood (deceased) with being his greatest mentor in his formative years in all forms of agriculture. Bob worked agriculture and agribusiness in over 30 countries throughout his life. At the time of his death, he was a Senior Agribusiness Advisor with Cultivating New Frontiers in Agriculture (CNFA). He was a member of the American Society for Horticultural Science (AHSH), the International Society for Horticultural Science (ISHS), the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) and the American Society of Agronomy. He was a loving husband, son, brother and friend to many throughout the world. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Preceded in death by his sisters, Nancy Lynn Richardson and Jacqueline Ann Sanders. Survived by his loving wife, Ponrad Ratanaphan of Monterey, TN; daughter, Emy Koster of Rotterdam, The Netherlands; parents, Annie and Clarence Lindsey of Spring Hill, TN; siblings, Michael D. Richardson, MD and Lizzie Lindsey of Chapel Hill, NC. A memorial service will be held at 6:00PM Monday, December 28, 2015 at Spring Hill Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be held 3-6PM Monday prior to the service. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ronnie Plant, Jere Plant, Wayne Whitt, cousins Johnny, Bobby, Jeff, Jim, Kenny, Dennis and Michael Malugin, and Clive Murray, Tim Welsh and Charlie Coiner.
