Fred Griggs

Fred E. Griggs, age 89 of Spring Hill, TN passed away August 31, 2019. Born in Malvern, Arkansas to the late Fred L. & Julia Elmore Griggs. Fred was a 1948 graduate of Magnet Cove High School in Malvern, AR. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy. Former member of Forrest Hills Baptist Church in Nashville and member of Oak Valley Baptist Church in Franklin. He retired from Delta Foremost Chemical in Memphis, TN where he was a sales and equipment manager. Fred is preceded in death by his brothers, Carl Griggs, Ralph Griggs, Jack Griggs and James Griggs; sister, Maurice Ward. Survived by his wife of 68 years, Christine Lousie Montgomery Griggs; son, Kevin Griggs of Brentwood, TN; daughters, Stephanie (Jeff) Bonner of Spring Hill, TN and Julie (Randy) Lindemuth of Tulsa, OK; grandchildren, Amanda Bonner, Claire (David) Nelms, Paul (Amy) Bonner, Blake Griggs, Hunter Griggs, Grace Griggs, Mary Lindemuth and Caroline Lindemuth; great-grandchildren, Avery, Luke, Harrison, Camille, Evie, Jacob and Sam. Funeral services will be 11:00AM Saturday, September 7, 2019 at Spring Hill Memorial Funeral Home, Pastor Jerry Winfield officiating. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Memorial Park. Family and Friends will serve as pallbearers. Memorials may be made to Oak Valley Baptist Church Missions Fund.
