Harold Stephenson Parks, age 85, of Spring Hill, TN passed away peacefully on June 27, 2019, surrounded by his family. Born in Spring Hill, TN in 1933, Harold was one of five children of the late Wiley Hill Parks and Willie Lawrence Parks. He graduated in 1951 from Spring Hill High School. He loved camping trips, fixing things, and Gospel music. Harold had an amazing memory for ancestry and genealogy-both that of his family and of others. He was known as the walking historian of Spring Hill, Tennessee. He was an active member of Mount Lebanon Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his wife of nearly 61 years, LaBetha, daughters Kathy Pewitt (John) of Thompson's Station, Tennessee and Pebby McClain (Eddie) of Jacksonville, Florida as well as his grandchildren, Brant Pewitt (Anne), Bethany Pewitt Tucker, Allison McClain Merrill (Jack) and Katelyn McClain, and great-grandson, Logan Tucker. Harold is also survived by his sister, Amelia Dean of Columbia, Tennessee, along with treasured nieces and nephews.
