Laura Ann Saumier, age 46, of McBurg; Frankewing, Tennessee, passed away on February 18, 2025, in Lewisburg, Tennessee. She was born on June 13, 1978 in Daytona Beach, Florida, and adopted by possibly two of the most loving parents David Jennings George and Sara Ann Sheppard George of Vero Beach, Florida. Laura was raised a true Florida girl in Lakeland, Florida, she held Disney and the beach close to her heart, cheered on the Dodgers with her daddy and then chose to be a Gators fan as she sat in his lap while he was hoping the Seminoles would win.
Laura graduated from Mulberry High School where she adored her biology teacher Janie Cruce. After marrying and relocating to Colorado, with a heart for children, she completed her Associates degree in Early Childhood Education while loving other people's toddlers at daycares. In Colorado she would cheer on the Broncos but would tell people orange and blue were Gators colors. Laura then spent a year assisting in Colorado's public school system working with children in various grades. Laura’s dream of having children since the young age of 13 came to fruition in 2006 where she shined raising her own children. Laura took on the challenge of homeschooling where she always said she had children so she could spend time with them.
In 2017, she drove cross country with three boys ranging from under 10 months to 10 years old and a dog (also a boy), moving to Spring Hill, Tennessee where she would truly learn that she was a daughter of Christ, the King and become a devoted follower of Jesus. Laura was an active member of Christ Chapel in Spring Hill, Tennessee. She was zealous in her walk with the Lord and consistently attended, as well as, lead Bible Study groups. Laura thrived loving the ladies at Christ Chapel from teenagers on up. Intentionally seeking to be like Mary sitting at the feet of Jesus, Laura was passionate about prayer and diligently interceded for others. She developed deep relationships at Christ Chapel and loved the church family there. Laura received visions from God that she would keep to herself to enjoy the fulfillment on her own and others she would share, providing a family hope as they waited to see her vision come to fruition years later. Laura spoke of her desire to be with the Father, and now she is with Him as much as she is missed here on earth because she understood eternal life begins here on earth. John 17:3 And this is eternal life that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.
Laura is survived by husband Micah William Saumier who will continue to try and keep an orderly house not rushed; sons, Noah William Saumier, the protector will continue putting fires out while seeking adventure in the Army National Guard, Parker Jennings Saumier, with a tender heart and a love for animals will expand his farming skills while trying to keep the peace, and Joel Calvin Saumier, the adventurer is always ready to take charge, play, or ride a horse; brother Jonathan George, also a tender hearted animal who enjoys heavy equipment; nephew, Zachary Nolan George, who will give you the shirt off his back; Father David Jennings George, faithful lover of the risen King; and Mother Sara Ann Sheppard George, diligently caring for her immediate family and her church family.
