Lilbert Paschal Owens

June 27, 1933 — February 20, 2025

Harvest, AL

Lilbert Paschal Owens, affectionately known as "Pat" to his family and "Bert" to many in his community, passed away on February 20, 2025, at the age of 91 in Madison, Alabama. Born in Verne, Kentucky, to the late Levi Milton Owens and Susie Belle Jones, Pat was one of 16 children. His life was a testament to resilience, hard work, and an enduring love for family and community.

With a courageous spirit, Pat answered the call to serve his country, enlisting in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. After his military service, he dedicated himself to a long and industrious career at RCA in Cincinnati until its closure, after which he made Nashville his home in 1969. There, he built a life and a legacy, first running several Lion Gas Stations near Woodbine before venturing into entrepreneurship. Establishing Green Hills Lock & Key, he later expanded to Brentwood and Spring Hill, becoming a trusted locksmith throughout Middle Tennessee and a proud member of the Middle Tennessee Locksmith Association.

Though a quiet and reserved man by nature, Pat had a mischievous streak and loved to playfully stir up those around him. His warmth and humor endeared him to friends and family alike. He found peace in the great outdoors, enjoying casting a line on a calm day. But his greatest joy came in the role of grandfather. When his grandson was born, Pat dedicated himself wholeheartedly, rising with the sun to be present for every milestone, every game, and every moment that mattered. These cherished memories will live on in the heart of his grandson forever.

Pat is survived by his loving daughter, Kim (Duane) Parrish; his devoted grandson, Michael (Kayla) Parrish; and his precious great-grandson, Rowan Parrish. He will also be dearly missed by his brother-in-law, Jerry (Melba) Lindsey; sister-in-law: Faye Lindsey; his close friends, Woody Hastings and John Corbin; several nieces and nephews; and his loyal canine companion, Levi. In addition to his parents, Pat was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary Ann Lindsey Owens, whom he will now rest beside in eternal peace.

Pallbearers honored to carry him to his final resting place include Kevin Lindsey, Charles Penning, Woody Hastings, Chuck Queener, Austin Lindsey, and Jeff Timmins. The honorary pallbearer is John Corbin.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, with a funeral service to follow at 1:00 PM. Pat will be laid to rest beside his beloved Mary Ann in Memory Hill Garden at Spring Hill Memorial Park.

Pat Owens lived a life defined by service, integrity, and love. His presence will be deeply missed, but his legacy will live on in the lives he touched.
