Louise Gregory

Louise Cornelia Gregory, age 92, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2019 in Maury Regional Medical Center located in Columbia, Tennessee. Known to her friends and family as Louise. Born July 27, 1926, in Youngtown, Ohio, Louise and her family moved to East Tennessee when she was just 6 months old. Louise relocated to Columbia, Tennessee in the late 50s, to Nashville, in the late 60s, and back to Columbia in 2003. Louise worked for Holiday Inn on West End and Master Host on Shelby Street in the 60s serving many of the country music stars. Louise sold handmade dolls and stuffed animals at the Nashville Flea Market in the late 90s through 2003. Louise would often say, "I believe I have sewed enough to travel around the world at least 3 times.
Louise was a wonderful mother, grandmother, wife, and friend. She loved playing cards, planting flowers, cooking, and baking. Louise's chocolate pie was second to none. At Christmas the holiday could not start until Louise made her famous Christmas cookies. So soft and decorated exquisitely, Louise was quite the baker. And, Louise was always ready to go on the next adventure. Whether it was making pasta from scratch, going shopping, going to a play, or taking a trip - she was ready.
To Louise's friend, Judy Kincaid, please know how much she loved you. The meals you shared and the shopping trips you took together filled her with such joy. Thank you for sharing your friendship. And, to Molly, her beloved dog and bestest buddy, Louise cherished you.
Louise is preceded in death by her loving husband, Lee Gregory; daughter, Carolyn King, and granddaughter, Kim Beasley. Louise is survived by sons, Ricky (Stacey) Beasley, Gary (Shelia) Beasley, and daughter, Judy (Kenny) Grigg; grandchildren, Alan King, Pam (Dale) Monjar, Joe (Susan) Roney, Josh Powell, Dawn (Randy) Skinner, Steff Beasley, and Terry Beasley, and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, May 8, 2019, at Spring Hill Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation with the family will be from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. (noon) on Wednesday. Burial will follow the service in Spring Hill Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Ricky Beasley, Gary Beasley, Dale Monjar, Joe Roney, Steff Beasley, Ben Skinner, and Jimmy Floyd. Honorary pallbearers include: Kenny Grigg, Dr. Gaylon Harris, the nurses and staff at Maury Regional Cancer Center and at Maury Regional Medical Center.
