Mrs. MaryEllen Jones, age 87 of Spring Hill, TN passed away in her sleep on December 19, 2015.
Mrs. Jones was an accomplished musician and served as organist, guitarist and vocalist at St. Patrick's in Missouri Valley, IA, before moving to TN, and was a choir member at St. Catherine's in Columbia, TN. She was a devout Catholic who deeply recognized her need for Jesus as her Lord and Savior and wrote a blog relating to Catholic life and devotion. She looked forward to going home to heaven and being reunited with her husband, Clint.
Preceded in death by her husband, Clinton M. Jones; parents, Bernard and Flocella McEnany Atteberry; brother, John Bernard Atteberry. She is survived by her sons, Terence (Debra) Michael Jones, John Jeffrey Jones, James (Barbara) Clinton Jones; daughters, Margaret (Richard)L. Story, Susan Morales & Kathleen (Tim P.) A. Conley; 12 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren, and a sister, Mercedes Gardner. A funeral mass will be held 11:00AM Monday, December 28, 2015 at St. Catherine's Catholic Church in Columbia, TN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. A private family burial will be held at Spring Hill Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the Church of the Nativity Building Fund, 2001 Campbell Station Pkwy, Suite C-7, Spring Hill, TN 37174. Please indicate on the memo line it is a memorial for MaryEllen Jones.
