Mr. Bobby Bearden

Bearden, Mr. Bobby James, age 80 of Spring Hill, TN. Passed away November 17, 2012 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was a member of Berea Church of Christ in Columbia. Recognized for his support of Spring Hill athletics for 50 years. He was a strong advocate of blood donations and past board member of Maury Co. Red Cross. Past President and charter member of the Spring Hill Lions Club. Past President and Instrumental in the creation of the Spring Hill Pop-Warner football program. Past instructor of the adult literacy program of Columbia. DEVOTED fan and supporter of the University of Tennessee Athletics, traveling with wife Aline to hundreds of UT sporting events. A graduate of Tennessee Tech, bachelors of animal science with honors. Received his masters at the University of Tennessee and remained an Assistant Professor at the UT Institute of Agriculture, formerly Middle TN Experiment Station for 35 years. Bobby celebrated his 50th wedding anniversary with wife Aline in December of 2010. A special thanks goes out to Dr. Ben High and his staff and the pharmacy staff at Kroger's of Port Royal. Preceded in death by parents, Clifford and Ireva Spencer Bearden; brother, Wilson Bearden and sister, Louise Eley. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Aline Harmon Bearden; sons, Greg (Pat) Bearden and Joey (Denise) Bearden; daughter, Dawn (Chris) Rawdon; sister, Nancy Tipps of Lynchburg, TN; sister in law, Lila Bearden of Lynchburg; brother in law, J.D. Harmon of Columbia, TN; grandchildren, Trey and Brittany Shanks, Justin and Jason Bearden, Hannah and Madison Rawdon; special thanks to Ashlee Andrews and Jessica Filipowicz. Services will be conducted 11:00AM Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at Spring Hill Memorial Funeral Home, Randy Short and Greg Bearden officiating. Burial in Spring Hill Memorial Park. Pallbearers: James Paul Gary, Gywnne Evans, Edward Harmon, Price Horton, Bobby Russell, Justin and Jason Bearden, Trey Shanks. Honorary Pallbearers: Will and Janice Osborne, James Cammuse, Dr. Joe and Sarah High, James Lockridge, Ben and Benetta Gary, Ed Carpenter, Denise Alexander, Jeff Helgren, and the Moore Co.
