Mr. Michael BIGGS

June 22, 1948 — June 30, 2011

Michael Biggs, 63, of Thompson Station, joined his parents in heaven on Thursday, June 30, 2011. Although his life was cut short by cancer, it was full of love, laughter, good family and friends, and even two hole-in-ones. Mike was a beloved husband of 43 years, as well as a great father, friend, grandpa, brother, uncle, cousin, nephew, neighbor, and proud member of the Dog Fight at King's Creek Golf Club.

Born in Carbondale, Illinois, Mike was quite a mischievous boy until he met Ginger and settled down in 1968. Mike spent two years in the army stationed in Fairbanks, Alaska. After returning to Illinois, he finished his college degree in Accounting, and started a family. He was a purchaser for several boat manufacturers, and "went to the other side of the desk" in the 90s to become a top salesman. His wit, charm, and brutal honesty helped him excel professionally and personally. Mike was never afraid to take risks, moving his family to Minnesota, North Carolina, New Jersey, and Tennessee - all in the pursuit of happiness. Mike is known for his off-the-wall phrases, his passion for golf, his well-manicured lawn, his Kentucky-blue wardrobe, and his famous caramel pies.

A Celebration of Life will take place on Friday, July 8th from 3-5pm at Spring Hill Memorial located at 5239 Main Street in Spring Hill, TN. The first hour will be a gathering with family and friends followed by a service officiated by Pastor Mack Strange.

Reception to follow at the home of Edie and Dennis Rimas at 2717 Washington Ln. in Thompson Station. All are welcome and encouraged to attend. In Mike's honor, the Friday-night margaritas will be flowing.
