Patricia Thornton

July 1, 1964 — December 27, 2016

Patricia Joan Thornton, age 52, Columbia, TN passed away December 27, 2016. She was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and grew up in Waukon, Iowa. She was the cafeteria manager at Chapman's Retreat Elementary School in Spring Hill, TN. Patty will be remembered for her generous, caring heart which knew no bounds. Patty's love for her kids and grandkids was immeasurable. Survivors include husband of 35 years, Jeffrey Thornton; sons, Daniel (Elizabeth) Thornton and Michael Thornton; daughter, Michelle (Chad) Dyer; grandchildren, Brooke, Holly & Jake Dyer, and Max, Ella & Zoe Thornton; parents, Walter & Betty Engrav; parents-in-law, Carl & Joyce Thornton; brothers, Steve (Mary) Engrav and Robert (Micky) Engrav; and sisters, Rhonda (Dave) Bahr and Colleen Wicks. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM Sunday, January 1, 2017 at Chapel Hill United Methodist Church, 316 N. Horton Pkwy, Chapel Hill, TN 37034.
