Born May 28, 1931, to Walter Edward Seifert and Edna Elizabeth Petre Seifert in Nashville, Tennessee.
He graduated from Central High School of Davidson County in the class of 1950. Bob served in the U. S. Navy for eight years, later worked for the South Central Bell Telephone Company where he completed his career as a cable splicer with thirty-eight years of service. He was married to the love of his life Margaret for seventy-two years.
Bob had great interest in all sports and especially girls fast pitch softball, where his daughters excelled. He loved Cajun food and jokes. He was a master at channel surfing with his remote for any type of sports program and avoiding commercials. Some of Bob’s last words were “I Love Jesus, I Love Margaret, I Love my children!”
Bob is a member of Ionic Masonic Lodge No. 254, F. & A. M. for sixty-eight years. He is a member of the Nashville Scottish Rite Bodies where he participated in Degrees. Bob received the Rank of Knight Commander of the Court of Honour in 2003. Bob was the chairman of the Hospitaller Committee, and Al Menah Shrine where he drove children to the Shriners Hospitals in Kentucky and Ohio.
Survived by Margaret Jones Seifert his wife; two daughters, Joy Seifert Bernander (David), Gay Seifert Powell (Billy); three grandsons, Robert Nels Bernander, Brandon Nicholas Powell (Dominika) and Austin Douglas Powell; brother, Walter Edward Seifert, Jr. (Dean); sister, Patricia Kendrick.
Memorials may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children.
Services will begin at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery.
