Ronald Pye

Ronald E. "Sarge" Pye, age 82 of Thompsons Station, TN went to be with the Lord on May 3, 2019 at his home with family by his side. Born in Griffin, GA to the late Edward and Virginia Bullard Pye. He was a retired veteran of the US Army serving 20 plus years. He later retired from North West Airlines. Ronald loved to spend time in Germany and enjoyed fishing. He was an honest hardworking man who loved his family and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He is preceded in death by his brothers, Stephen Martin, Billie Pye, Rev. Don Pye, and Gary Martin. He leaves behind his loving wife of 61 years, Eva Pye; daughters, Rena Lening, Carolyn (Danny) Grantham and Jean (Morris) Riddle; siblings, Bobby (Dot) Martin, Julie (Darrell) Cobb and Linda Kay (Benny) Pritchett; grandchildren, Kristen (Maj. Jesse) Belk, Amber Bradford, Terrence Lening, Caitland Dallas, Matthew and Kyle Riddle; great grandchildren, Hannah and Grace Belk; sister-in-laws, Alice Pye and Jane Ann Pye. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00am on Monday, May 6, 2019 at Spring Hill Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 3-6PM on Sunday and one hour prior to the service. A private burial with full military honors will be held at the Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Diabetes Association.
