Roxanne Kamel

Roxanne Marie Kamel passed away peacefully in Franklin, Tennessee on May 30th, 2018 at the age of 53. Roxanne is survived by daughter Alyssa Kamel and fiancé Mark Darcy. She is preceded in death by her father Luca G. Kamel, mother Gail B. Kamel; and widowed to Michael J. Gukiesen. Roxanne was born on July 22nd, 1964 in Santa Monica, California. She lived most of her life in Los Angeles, CA before moving to Franklin, Tennessee. While living on both sides of the country, she managed to make people smile in both places wherever she was. Once in Tennessee, she began an animal shelter and assisted with a pet care business where her love for animals blossomed. However, it wasn't just animals who felt her love. She volunteered and cared for everyone she met. Her unexpected passing hit the hearts of many and she will be truly missed. A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at Spring Hill Memorial Funeral Home. Father Bala of Saint Philip Catholic Church will conduct the service. Visitation will be held from 12-2pm on Wednesday prior to the service. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Roxanne's wonderful life.
