Samuel Grimes

Mr. Samuel Luther Grimes, age 81 of Thompson Station, TN passed away June 20, 2016. Born in East Liverpool, OH to the late Maywood and Katherine Rickerd Grimes. He and his wife Ursula spent most of their lives in Michigan before moving to Tennessee seven years ago. He was an active member of the Thompson Station United Methodist Church. A veteran of the U.S. Army and retired from the K-Mart corporation. He leaves behind his loving wife, Ursula Grimes; children, Michael (Lori) Grimes, Gary (Ruth) Grimes and Stephanie Grimes Hall; grandchildren, Ron (Sarah) Chapman, Erica (Adam) Chapman, Sarah Grimes, Collin (Haleigh) Grimes and Hagen Alexander Hall; great grandchildren, Carson, Reagan and Ron III Chapman. A memorial service will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at Thompson Station United Methodist Church, Pastor Edward Murray officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service and a reception will follow the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Thompson Station UMC Women's Fund, 1517 Thompson's Station Rd W, Thompson Station, TN 37179. The family would also like to thank the doctors and staff of the Vanderbilt University Hospital cardiac unit.
