William Long

William J. "Bill" Long, age 74 of Spring Hill, TN passed away suddenly on November 27, 2017. Bill was born in Quitman, MS to the late Hubert Long and Annie Bell Carmichael Long. He and his wife Joan are members of the Franklin Christian Church. He retired from Sears after 30 years and was an avid Mississippi State University fan. Most of all he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend to many who will be deeply missed. He leaves behind his loving wife of 51 years, Joan Long; children, Suzanne (Steve) Reed and Alan "Scott" (Jill) Long; grandchildren, Abigail "Abbey" Reed, Garrison Reed and Bryce Long; siblings, Bettye Floyd, Mollye Ward, Beverly Ann Blair and Diane (Doug) Carlin. He is preceded in death by siblings, Steve Long and Elizabeth "Prissy" Gates. A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at Spring Hill Memorial Funeral Home, Pastor Joe Copolo officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to Graceworks Ministries, Best Buddies or Franklin Christian Church.
