Wynette Lynn Taylor

Wynette Lynn Dewey Taylor, beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend, passed away on January 25, 2024, at the age of 62. Born on October 25, 1962, in Fairbanks, Alaska, she was the fourth of Kenneth and Onieda Dewey's five children.

Wynette's memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 17, at 2:00 pm in the Spring Hill Suites at 5011 Aspen Grove Dr. Franklin, TN, in the Natchez Trace Meeting Room.

After graduating from Cohn High School in Nashville, TN, in 1981, Wynette pursued her passion for hairstyling, becoming a beloved figure in her community known affectionately as the "Hair Pastor" for her gentle touch and sweet demeanor. She dedicated the final years of her life to caring for her cherished parents, embodying love and devotion in every moment.

A woman of boundless love, Wynette adored her son, Joshua Dewey, and her four grandsons, Dakota, Sloan, Jasper, and Aiden Dewey. Her love extended to all babies, nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews, bringing joy and warmth to every interaction.

Wynette found solace and joy by the ocean, where the sound of the waves and the feel of sand beneath her feet brought her unparalleled happiness. Her passion for singing led her to spend countless hours in the choir at Bethel World Outreach Church, where she poured her heart and soul into worshipping.

Wynette's unforgettable voice will be deeply missed, especially her tradition of serenading loved ones on their birthdays. As she joins the angels and her beloved mother in eternal song, her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

She is survived by her father, Kenneth Dewey of Spring Hill, TN; her son, Joshua Dewey (Chloe) and grandsons Dakota, Sloan, Jasper, and Aiden; her sisters, Wanda (Paul) of Yukon, OK, Wendy Sullivan of Spring Hill, TN, Waunita Dewey of Yukon, OK; and her brother, Dave Dewey (Michelle) of Franklin, TN, along with nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends who were touched by her kindness and grace.
